Hi all, amongst the many trouble codes i am getting from my car the knock sensor was the most puzzleing. At first, i thought my airpump was bad and that was throwing several different codes. So i replaced the pump and almost all the codes went away. I got a low fan speed code...cause my second electric fan is crapping out and i got knock sensor, and o2 sensors. I realize that the 02's are prob bad since my car is running very rich. But what generally does the knock sensor do other then retard or advance the timeing. And where is it..lol..thanks

Just follow the first part of the instructions to change them. It looks like a pretty straight forward deal. Just change them both while you have it apart.

thanks for that, however, i didnt realize that they were in the block itself, i hate messing around with all the lines and crap around the intake for fear of messing something up. I think i might as well just toss on an LS6 intake while i have it apart. I will just save up for a bit, i wounder how much the knock sensors cost i know that the o2's run about 120...so i am guessing more for the knocks.
