kill switch 0n a 95 camaro

Question kill switch 0n a 95 camaro

okay i got me a 95 camaro with a 3.4 ltr in it and my security light will come on from time to time and when doing this all systems are suspended till it shuts off (the security system) car won't crank turn over or nothing. i asked the internet how to disconnect this feature and i was told to check the kill switch. ok i know nothing about a kill switch. so can some body any body tell me what i need to do or where this part is located

There isn't any kill "switch" from the factory.

Most of the time it is the contacts in the lock cylinder. I had that happen to me one time and I took a piece of sandpaper and lightly touched the contacts on the ignition key's "pellet." Never had the problem again.

Secondly, I always keep a Resistor that matched that of the ignition key's pellet just in case it decides to stop working all together.

I really need to program VATS out of the computer and be done with it.

most of the time it is the wires for the vats at the ign cylinder that have worn and broken. they make contact most of the time but sometimes lose connection. you will need a new ign cylinder or jumper it out with a resistor if you dont think your car will get stolen, any good thief will be able to steal it anyway.
