Exclamation Keyless remote problem 96 SS

I got the remote programing instructions but when I cycle the ignition on and off 3 times it does not pop the hatch or cycle the door locks. All I hear is 3 quick clicks from the glove box area. I did remove the radio fuse. The remote was in the car when I got it. I put a good battery in it and tried to set it but nothing happens. Maybe I just need a new remote or perhaps that is just a random remote that isn't compatible..... But still when I try to put it in program mode nothing happens... The power locks do work fine if I press them on the doors.. Any ideas?

Dude, you posted 3 non-engine related threads in the LT1 engine forum. Please be mindful of where you start threads. A moderator will have to end up moving them.

The remote should not have anything to do with it if the BCM is not getting into program mode. Maybe you are not doing the cycle fast enough or the BCM has issues.
