Keyless entry

Will the keyless entry remote for a 96 camaro work on a 94 camaro if a reprogrammed it to work? or would i have to get the receive box too?

Components changed between 1995 and 1996. I don't think they are compatible.

So can I get a receiver off a 96 and plug it in where my receive is and it work?

well, if you have the 94 reciever, just get a 94 remote off of ebay for like 20$
i got 2 off of there and both work great still

I have the clicker.. i just like how the new ones have a longer range and beep and flash thier lights so i was wanting a 96 keyless entry system.

I'm trying to tell you the components are not the same.

1996+ uses the BCM. 1995 and earlier use a separate keyless receiver and have no BCM.

This subject was discussed in a thread not long ago.
