keep blowing fuses....
keep blowing fuses....
On my 2000 v6 camaro
i keep blowing the fuse that controls my injectors (inj-1)
now i recently put ls1 injectors in my car and i cant find any lose wires or anything from the work i did. Is it possible that the ls1 injectors pull more power so i need to use a bigger fuse? I was told i should OHM out my injectors to see if they are good, how do i OHM them? How many OHMs should they be?
And may i also add that i have been running these injectors for about 4 months and just now have been having problems.
Any other suggestions?

There are two electrical pins in the socket on the injector for the harness connector. You need to use an ohm meter, or a multi-meter set to ohms, and connect one lead to each pin in the injector. Look for 12-15 ohms. Do the same thing with you old stock injectors, to insure they were in the same range. As long as the resistance is similar, the current draw will be similar. Its not likely you would need a larger fuse with the LS1 injectors. And you don't just put in a larger fuse, without increasing the size of the wire running to the injectors. Good way to burn the wires up.
How many injector fuses do you have? My Chiltons only shows one fuse for the V6, but its not for a 2000. Look in your Owner's Manual. It will tell you if there are any other loads on the same fuse. If there are other things powered off the same fuse, you will have to check those out too.
