K & N filter

I thought I have read somewhere that K & N air filters are not good for the LS1 engine and to use the stock filters instead. Is this true?

I've been running the same K&N since 2001 with no problems - just don't over oil it after cleaning.

Oil from the filter is..... Too much oil will mess up the MAF..
