K-members same or different coupe/convert?
Re: K-members same or different coupe/convert?
Don't know what is different, but the part numbers for convertibles with any engine is different from the non-convertibles. Could be that the convertible piece is made with a little more heft.
Re: K-members same or different coupe/convert?
Thanks shoebox the reason I ask is that I'm about to swap out my stock LT1 for my 383 LT1 and I have a friend who has a 95 Convertible who want to swap to a v8. I told him it's a very involved swap but he likes his car and it's paid for so he's begging to buy my stock LT1 and since I would be selling it anyway once it's removed I told him I'd find out exactly everything he'd need to do the swap.
And if the k-members would work I could also sell him mine and get a BMR tubular for my car, so physically they will bolt up just different part numbers, is that right?

Re: K-members same or different coupe/convert?
At a minimum, the convertible k-member has some brackets that connect it to the underbody of the car, that the coupe doesn't have. There may be more than that, but on a brief examination that's what's noticeable...
