Just Changed Out Horns..No Worky

The alarm works good, but i cannot honk them from the steering wheel buttons. What could this be? i checked the fuses inside the door, and nothing. i looked at the relay box things under the hood, but the one that says "horn", its a little grey box. dont know what it is, but i dont think its a fuse. What could this be? (not the box, the problem)?

Lightbulb I would check the horn pad itself.

In the old days (pre-air bags ) , the pad would wear and cause problems like that.

I have not had the cover off my '99 , so I don't know what the contacts look like but it is conceivable that they wear out the same way.

I'd suspect the box you are seeing may be the horn relay, but typically ( in the past ) GM had those inside the car.

Have you checked Shoebox's site ?

This guy is amazing , and has tons of great info !

Da Man's Site !

Good Luck !
