Just bought a 94 z28 it was a police car does mean anything?
4th Gens were offered in a B4C configuration which was bascially a de-badged and slightly de-contented Z28 sold through fleet sales as a police pursuit vehicle.
Not sure if the VIN will contain the info but you may want to check the Service Parts Tag for the B4C RPO code.

The performance axle if auto- 3.23's, power steering cooler- I think the LT1 B4C's got a bigger alternator, too. Might be some parts that are the same parts as a 1LE- rear swing arms and bushings come to mind- usually had factory wig-wags, too. Built to be run hard, and they usually were- probably an aluminum driveshaft, too-
all this if for a 'real' B4C, GM's pursuit-rated Camaro.

So, again, nothing different.
GM has built some incredible police and SEO vehicles over the years, and knew how to build them to survive the lead-footed abuse they would be receiving from guys who are never on the receiving end of traffic tickets.
You need to refer to the GM fleet material, not the generic stuff for the civilians- again, I have scanned copies of the police vehicle folders from the late 90's and early 2000's- Got into the LT1 powered 9C1 Caprice, which was a slightly more haevy-duty version of the Impala SS, and eventually traded up to my Z, which was a fleet car, RPO GAM, but not a B4C- though I have been trying to add some of the SEO parts-
Admittedly, not much credible information available any more- lots of people repeating half truths- though, on this website, I found a GM publication quoted:
http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z...et-camaro.aspx
"...Camaro Special Service Package (SEO B4C). Police fleets can order a Special Service Package on the 1996 Camaro. First introduced on the 1991 Camaro RS, this package has become popular for highway and interstate traffic control. The B4C police package includes:
5.7 Liter LTI V8
6-speed manual or 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission
Single exhaust and converter with dual tailpipes
Performance suspension
16' aluminum wheels
P245/50ZR-16 speed-rated blackwall tires
4-wheel vented anti-lock disc brakes
3.23:1 limited slip rear axle (automatic transmission)
3.42:1 limited slip rear axle (manual transmission)
Transmission oil cooler (automatic transmission only)
140-amp alternator
525-CCA battery
Air conditioning
150-mph speedometer.
Source - GM Corporation..."
This is pretty accurate for the model year specified- the LT1 B4C's had a larger alternator than the LS1's got- typically the used Goodyear GS-c tires that were pricey and didn't last all that well, but were speed-rated.
