installing poly motor mount (driver side)

installing poly motor mount (driver side)

how do i go about doing this? i need to do a driver-side poly mount to keep my exhaust from smacking my floor board

You should do both at the same time but the poly mounts i bought from thunderracing came with directions

Do both. The motor needs to be supported while the mounts are removed. The Prothane mounts I have came with directions as mentioned and I also got mine from Thunder.

I did Prothanes along with LTs, and they were a bigger pita than the headers. I supported the motor on jackstands (oilpan and harmonic balancer) In hindsight I'm not sure if its good for the mains to put that kind of pressure on the balancer, but it worked for me. Took a lot of cussing and patience though, and I think there is a better/quicker way. Just my two cents.

Use an engine hoist to pick the engine up and support it and change the motor mounts within a day, dont leave it overnight. Supporting by the harmonic balancer and the oilpan are both bad ideas.
