Installing a front end bra. Need instruction!

Hi, I bought a bra for my 96 camaro a few years back and i want to install it again. I lost my instructions and I'm horrible at doing these things. Does anyone know of online instruction or video for putting a bra on? Or can someone just give me some specific instruction on what to tie where and what kind of knot to make.

Last time I did it by myself my bra fell off while I was driving on the highway. lol.

Thanks
p.s. my bra is the 2 piece kind that wraps completely around. the bottom portion is the clippy kind.

I can't help you ither, the only real use for a bra is to hold stuff up, and since your camaro does not need holding up id keep it off, but thats my .02 cents.

The bra over time will mess up your paint job. The edges of the bra flap do to the wind and rub away the clear coat.

Auto bras trap dirt and debris underneath and then end up grinding that into the paint you are trying to protect. Seems like a good idea, but they are really not. JMHO.

I just bought a 1993 Z28 and the previous owner used a bra on it for much of the cars life. The front part of the hood has numerous spots where the bra removed the paint and the car started rusting. One of the spots has grown to be the size of my fist. I stopped what rust I could but it looks horrible. The entire hood needs repainting and since it is a 93 that means the whole car needs to be paintedto make it look right.

Did you try to compound out the marks?

Simple answer instead of my opinion:

Top half:
Pop the hood, slide the top part over and hook the straps to the 2 holes that the hooks will reach. Tighten those, then the strap that goes all the way across.

Bottom half:
Lay the bra across the bumper and wrap the upper area (where the badge is) of your bumper. 2 clips slide under the plastic under your hood, and the corners just slide over the matching corners. Once you get it lined up, everything kinda just matches up. Yeah, kinda vague but good luck.

You should not put it on, you think the bumper looks bad now, wait till you put the bra on.

Yep, my old third gen learned this the hard way. The previous owner installed one the day he bought it, and 80K later when I took possession of the car and removed it, the front bumper was completely faded and scratched.
