Mine seems to be stuck in the expanded position, and it looks horrible. I'd rather not replace it with the same antenna. Does anyone make a short fixed antenna that i wouldn't have to worry about expanding and contracting for a 95 f-body.

It's only around $20 or so for the whole fixed assembly from GM.

 

I think i would stay away from a short antenna. I installed a TA antenna and haven't wired it up yet. I did give it some power to see if it works and its standing up maybe only about 1/3-1/2 and my reception sucks compared to my old stock Camaro antenna. I'm sure it will get better once i have the TA wired up and it goes completely up but to me that tells me a shorty would suck.

 

I'm not too worried about radio reception, becasue i rarly listen to the radio. I just need something to replace the huge one with, because its stuck in the up position

 

my new power Antennae was right around $100 from the dealer.

Does anyone know the part number for a stock fixed antenna? I put a power one on and it sucks and i dnt know where my stock one went, along with all the mounting hardware.

 

I have a short one and the reception is fine? Mines like 10" tall, max.

ssinserts.com has an 8" shirt antenna. I just ordered one and they are like $36 shipped. Jason Debler has one on his SS and it looks sweet.
