Bad vibration at high speed

Took my Z on the expressway for the first time in quite a while. I noticed that once it gets up to about 90-100, i get some harsh vibration from the car. It is accompanied by a nice loud humming/buzzing sound. Both of these symptoms get worse as the speed increases. What the hell is causing this?

Well a vibration can travel from anywhere on a car. U-joint, harmonic balancer, tires and so on.

Start with the simplest and cheapest, get your tires balanced and rotated. That doesnt work take a look at your bearings and so on and so on. Let us know.

Re: Bad vibration at high speed

checked it again today and it seems that at around 70 if i go WOT it will happen, and when i let off it will stop until i get to higher speeds...sounds more serious than an out of balance wheel...
