i have a little too much oil in my car, think itll do anything?

i have a little too much oil in my car, think itll do anything?

it seems like its a half-3/4s of a quart too full, think it will hurt anything?

too much oil will cause the oil to froth into a "foam" as the crank churns it and then the oil pump cannot pump foam...I would drain it out to the proper level but that's just me.

haha i know how to change it, im at school tho, no tools/anything, plus walmart does it pracitcally for free minus the oil, the labor is close to nothing

and if you have too much oil it can get into the combustion chamber and get shoot into the cat and seriusly mess up your cat.

why dont you cust CRACK open the drain plug, let a little drizzle out and check it until it gets to the point where its where you want it?

What? I think your confused somehow? There is not really a way for extra oil to get into the combustion chamber, at least not from having too much oil in the engine......

I think 3/4 of a quart to much maybe pushing it. I usually run an extra 1/2 qt in mine. The last thing i want is to be reving 6k + and have it pump the pan dry.
