er don't. Okay, I thought their was a post about them a looong time ago. I thought the white lines lit up.

 

there might be a light behind the panel.... Not sure about the Pontiacs, though... Maybe someone else will come in to confirm.

 

Nope...the Pontiacs are boring too.

 

Mine don't light up either. I bought the car new so I know that they never did. I think some of the later cars have some sort of light.

Can't you remove the rubber covering on the HVAC ***** to allow light from the panel to sort of glow through them? I thought I recall seeing where someone had installed red LED's in the panel and gave it a nice little effect.

I believe it's the '97+ models that you can do it on? I remember checking it out on my '95 and the ***** were just a white plastic.

 

Okay, so do the 98+ ones light up? I've had 3 4th gens and I swear one of them lit up. Maybe I just really wanted them to.
