Is the hurst competition plus shifter any good?

I can get a new one for $66. How does it shift comparee to the stock shifter? Is the stick the same height as the stock shifter?
I know there are probably better ones out there, but this is only $66. Is it worth getting?

Re: Is the hurst competition plus shifter any good?
I bought one about 6 months ago. It may not be the best but it is ten times better than the stock shifter. Mine used the stock lever so there was no difference in height, I dont know about the lever on the one you are looking at. There is less throw in the shifts and they are much more crisp. I plan on getting a short lever eventually, i am sure it will improve it even more. In my opinion for the price you cant go wrong. I wouldnt spend the extra money unless i planned on doing a lot of racing.

Re: Is the hurst competition plus shifter any good?
I bought the Hurst Comp+ for my Formula back in 1995. It was a lot better than the stock shifter. Mine come with a new stick (looks like the one in the eBay photo), without the big rubber bushing that makes the stock stick so sloppy. It was a bit shorter than stock, but not a lot. I eventually added a Lou Salzano "short stick" and that put the **** down near the console.
Eventually I replaced the Hurst Comp+ with a Pro 5.0, which was a much better unit.

I went ahead and bought it. I figure if I don't like it, I can always resell it on ebay and make my money back.
I forgot to mention that its for a 97 TA.
Thanks for the replies.
