how much is my car worth?

how much is my car worth?
Looking to sell my 96 Z28 to get it off my lawn, but it has major issues. The vehicle doesnt run, was told it was the engine harness. Got a replacement harness but it didnt fit. The rear needs a new diff, and the front suspension is in need of parts. The most expensive piece is the tranny, its a D&D with the upgraded 30 spline output shaft. It only has 30k on it. The chassis and motor have 155k.
I was thinking of asking 1000, mainly due to the transmission. Overall the paint is good, its straight and when it runs, no issues.
Your thoughts?

Re: how much is my car worth?
For this particular car, I personally would ask around $1500 at least, if not 2k. Especially considering this is an M6 SS with t-tops, leather, a nicer paint job, and an aftermarket tranny. I'd wager you probably have at least a grand in the tranny alone, not to mention people (especially collectors) are gonna low ball you at like $7-800. The fact that this is a rarer car with options and an aftermarket tranny would allow you to ask a bit more, a good starting point imo would be around $1500-2000. Hope this helps and GLWS.

My bad, rashiki. Since the Z you are selling and your current SS share the same model year, I just took you selling an SS at face value. In any event, congrats on your sale of the Z and the purchase of your new SS.

That's awesome! ALWAYS great to hear about a nice, low-mileage LT1 out there with someone enjoying and taking care of it as they should. What are your plans for her? Bolt-on cruiser? Weekend warrior/track machine? Keep it stock?

Re: how much is my car worth?
I havent totally decided, but i am leaning towards keepig it stock. Any mods i do will be simple, and reversible in the event i want to change it back to stock. I had a great time with my first z, but i guess i've grown up a little and realize what i have in this new car. It will be driven, but i doubt i will bring it to the track or do anything outrageous. Piece of history, ya know!
