While the dealer was fixing a busted mechanism that connects my indicator rod to the dimmer switch, they replaced my hazard flasher without asking me cuz they said its the wrong one for my car. It was only $11, so i didnt care, but its so quiet i can barely hear it. Its almost silent when i turn on the indicator, but the light flashes fine. The dealer says this is normal for firebirds, is that true?

 

I can't speak for everybody here, but I think that my flasher on my 97 Formula is really quiet. When I first got my car I really noticed that it was barely audible at all, still really quiet when compared to other cars.

 

He probably used an electric vs the other kind. When I did my DRL mod I used the electric and I cant hear it.

 

My turn signals sound like they are spring loaded... lol

Af far as loudness... if I had my music playing at about 1/4 volume... I bet I could hear it. I'd have to consitrate, but I could hear it.

Some flasher are louder than other.... Mine is fairly quiet.... If it bothers you try replacing with another brand...

 

i cant hear mine at all... maybe i should turn down my audio system, oh yeah, and maybe i should turn down my loudmouth exhaust :P

 

i can only hear mine when the radio is off, sometimes i get supprised by the sound.
i have a question for the rest of you, is it hard to push your turn signal up or down, mine is alot harder than other cars.

 

mine is like that also.

 

mine is kinda quiet, if i have my radio on, cannot hear it, which leads me to forget it on sometimes for a while and be one of those people that leave their turn signals on while going straight.

 

Mine is loud enough that it embarrasses me when I have someone in the car. Never really thought about replacing it.
