How long are radiator hoses good for?
I've got a 98 Camaro z28 SS with the original radiator & heater hoses. The car has been maintained and has 69,000 miles. Wanted to know know how long the hoses typically last and when they should be changed out. Also, who sells the heater hose replacements. Thanks-

Funny...mine's a '98 Z28 with 85K miles and I started wondering the same thing lately. I personally think I'm LONG past due, so I may just do it soon for peace of mind...

I would inspect the hoses for any cracking, deformation, leaks, etc. My 97 has 167k miles and has original hoses. I've got a lower radiator hose on order as I noticed that one has collapsed. Are you having any problems or just looking for something to proactively replace?

Hey-Just looking to be proactive on the replacing of the hoses being 18 years old. I'm not sure on the maintenance as I'm the third owner. However, the original hoses look and feel good still. No cracking, no softness, no bulging etc which speaks really well for GM. Autozone has Dayco custom fit hoses for short money and their heater hoses look reasonable too.. Not sure if I should buy their custom molded heater hoses or just buy regular hose and cut it to fit.. Any recommendations on replacement hoses? Thanks!
