Quick question i did a small search and didnt see much so i thought this would be easier. When storing a car how long before gas goes bad or starts to breakdown to the point of where it would affect performance. thanks for the replies in advance.

 

I would not worry about it affecting performance. Just fill it up at the end of storage with some fresh gas. Use some stabil if you are storing it for longer than 6 months. My dad does not put anything in his SS when he stores it for 6 months. It starts right up but he goes straight to the gas station once the old stuff is used up.

Your car in your sig sounds nice you have any pics of it? I want to paint my car electron blue like the corvettes but its quite pricey.

 

No pics yet i should get them asap though basically i got the car painted and its been sitting in the garage since and ive been going threw some other life issues but ill get some very soon now. I Even bought a new camera to take pics with since i had a OLDDDD .5 megapixel camaera at best before lol...now atleast its 3.2 so it should take a ok picture for now.When i take them ill post them

 

if you use stabil follow the instructions, which IIRC include letting the car run a little bit after adding the stabil so that it can get the treated fuel into the fuel lines and injectors.

 

Before putting the SS "away", I fill the tank, and also add the proper amount of Stabil. Never had a problem

 

Filling the tank is a very good idea. Same thing they tell you to do with boats. It prevents moisture from building in the tank, thus less water.
