This one of mine lifts even my lowered cars (except the 94Z with ground effects AND lowered!) without having to drive up on boards or "stuff"

I just put some pro kit springs in mine, I think I'll probably just screw some 2x6 boards together. Before the pro kit spring I had taken a bunch of weight out of the car and when I put new shocks and struts in it it lifted it and made it look like a 4x4.

Thanks for the link Brent, that one looks good. Is it safe though, seeing our cars weigh more than the 3000lb limit. I know when you jack it you dont actually lift the whole weight of the car, but still?

The little crappy lift that came with my car didnt even do 1000 lbs and was good for lifting 1 wheel off the ground, so a 3000 lbs lift for 2 seems more than enough.

I've never had a problem with it. I've lifted either the entire front end or rear end before and all was fine

Re: How do you guys lift your car?

I use ramps then a jack if the car is too low, or some wood if the car is too low for the ramps.

on my formula, I am able to get the jack behnd the front wheel and lift it from the lower a-arm. This is what I do when I change wheels, if I am doing brake work, I'll place a jackstand under the car as well.
If I am working under the car, I'll drive on ramps, then jack the car up higher and then use jackstands.
