How do you A4 guys stop console rattling

ive got a gm847 and a jegs universal xpipe 2 1/2" running into some classic chambers and i got the longest ones the 26s and still louddd. ive got my exhaust all clamped currently but no leaks. how do you stop your console from rattling vibrating. I understand that due in part to the cams lope it can cause it but this is just annoying as hell. this isnt my first exhaust setup either, hell i had the stock exhaust with no muffler and it did the same thing. I just want to find away to put some damper on this junk any advise on how to get around this? If its the wrong place put it where it needs be thanks.

My console had a bunch of change that had fallen down into it from previous owners. Might wanna check on that and see if it helps some.

Other than that, I'm fresh out of ideas but would like to hear other's answers to this problem.

! Center console.

I'm dealing with the same thing right now. I'm having to hold the center console with one hand and drive with the other just so I don't go insane with the squeaks and rattles. I'm hoping that they will go away when I do the 97+ center console swap.

ive got a 97 and it does it lol, unless mine is broken. But yea i feel you with the one hand on the wheel and the other on the console, unsually the center plastic piece especially. Roll down the windows and turnnn up the radio thats usually the only way i can get buy, unless ive got someone in the car with me. Atleast in the summer you can take the ttops off and the wind dampens the ratteling

I put some of those black metal spring-type clips (like you get an at office supply store to hold stacks of paper together) inside at the front of the console where it comes in contact with (I think) the bottom of the dash, to force & hold them together. (I can go out later and check exactly what I clamped it to.) That worked. It keeps the front of the console from moving around and rattling against what's in front of it (since they're clamped together).

I wonder if the strategic locating of adhesive pads would do the trick?

i think its more like the pieces inside of the console, like the plastic strip with the gears on it or something under it?

i went and drove it, its more than the rattling, it feels like something is hitting the car every other revolution but doesnt happen untill about 2.2k. is that what a unbalanced driveshaft feels like? It mean its like bang bang bang and you can feel it in your ***. Possibly the transmission tq converter?

Take it out and put in a megashifter? This is more like General Tech btw, not really engine tech.

I'm with T/A-Bob...

Mine has been rattling forever, and a few weeks ago I noticed most on mine was coming from the spot between the center console and where it meets the dash, and I folded up a couple peices of paper and wedged them in there and it stopped the rattle...

The exhaust can be hitting the bottom of the car.... get some subframe connectors.

me to, the button on the top of the shifter makes the noise as well as the front part on mine. also change, cd's cd cases, or anything in it isn't helping. downshift maybe that will drown it out.

I stuck some silicone grease on it where it rubs on the front and it hasnt squeaked in a few years. The button on the e-brake handle rattles and buzzes sometimes, though.
