Plan and Simple they are there to Provide a service , and Make Money doing so .

i went to a well know franchise auto repair shop to get a tire patched . and next thing i know iam being told my other camaro my v6 one that i need new rear brakes , i need they said new wheel cylinders , hardware kit and pads , which is true i do need them they are leaking .

but heres the kick they said i should leave the car there and get it fixed , and should no even drive it home because they said it has bad . and said it would cost $460 parts and labor . i say no way too much money , and he tells me that he has a budget . and i leave go home price out my parts to install

2 new wheel cylinders $12.49 each

rear Drum Hardware kit $6.99

Rear drum shoes $9.99 - 29.99 ( autostore brand / wagner thermo-quit )

They said my cost on parts at the garage shop was

wheel cylinder 39.99 each

hardware kit 24.99

drum shoes 89.99 ( thermo quit )

Plus labor ......

thats a high markup , but thats how they make money
