I just swapped my Mufflex Y pipe for a new Hooker and all I can say is that it is MUCH better than the Mufflex. I have had my Mufflex on for about 3 years now and I hated to take it off because it only had about 500 miles on it but I am getting ready to coat my garage floor and it was dragging on the drivers side, making marks on my floor. My car is lowered with DMS springs and I figured the Hooker wouold give me better ground clearance. I measured the Mufflex Y on the driver's side before I took it off and I only had about 2 inches of clearance. After the Hooker install, I now have about 4 inches of clearance. Thumbs up to Hooker!

 

i just crushed my y-pipe and need a replacement to go with my hooker LT's. will the hooker y-pipe fit better than the mufflex y-pipe? did a search and this thread was the closest thing i found for a reference.
