Hood not lineing up right
Hood not lineing up right
I think it is a little warped on the passenger side. It is the SLP ram air hood. If i could just bend it a little bit or something. Hood shuts and everything it just sticks up about .25" or so. Any suggestions?
Re: Hood not lineing up right
I installed a SLP ramair hood on my camaro, same problem.
To correct it I had to remove the nose and fenders and notch the brackets that hold it all to the chasis so I could move it all up to meet the hood. It was a PITA, but it worked. I suspect you will need to do something similar.
Good luck.

Re: Hood not lineing up right
My car is a Camaro, the bracketry is different from your bird.
The center was not a problem, it lined up fine after I lowered the latch as far as it went. Just the outside corners required slotting.
But to make a long story short, I removed the brackets, used a drill to elongate the bolt holes by ~1/4" and reassembled it with the brackets moved up higher using the slots.
Once you remove the nose cover and fenders you will be able to see how the brackets hold it all together. It's really pretty simple, just a PITA.
