Im looking into getting a 1995 z28. I found one that has already been modded and wanted to get your opinions... Here is the mod list..

K&N FIPK Intake w/3,000 miles on new filter

52mm BBK Throttle Body, serviced and cleaned about 5,000 miles ago.

Edelbrock Shortie Headers

3" Exhaust tubing custom Off road Y pipe, no catalytic converters, no leaks.

Flowmaster Muffler, chrome z28 tips.

1.6 LT4 Roller Rockers and springs

MSD 8.5 wires w/ NGK Tr55 plus gapped at .050

Accel Super Coil

4L60E has a Transgo Shift kit, works perfect. Stock stall.

3.42 Gears

Fiberglass SS hood

Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's 18x9.5 w/ Kuhmo Ecsta's 275/45/18, only 10k miles on them

PCMFORLESS tune

Car put down 270hp 298tq to the wheels back in February.

Optispark cap & rotor
Rotors & Brake pads all 4 corners


The car is black with t-tops and A4... 100k miles exactly.. $5,900. Good deal or no? It does not have leather, and he claims the air works good.

 

Ya thats a good price considering the wheels are worth over $1,000.

 

Do those HP and TQ #'s sound right for the mods?

 

HP & TQ #'s seem close to stock & do seem a bit low for headers & 1.6 rockers & a tune....but if it runs well & checks out mechanically I wouldnt sweat it, fine tuning could bring the numbers up to closer to what I'd expect to see. Good luck!

 

take that car and run.............its got atleast 2500$ worth of mods, trq and HP is kinda low but might just need a freshin up, (spark plugs, oil, etc)

 

The headers are whats holding it back, get a better set. Edlebrock doesn't make good headers for LT1 cars. Then give me the Smoothies and I'll give you my wheels

 

Its an ok price. Its pretty down on power that car should be doing at least 290 rwhp.

 

could have been a mustang dyno...

they numbers are a bit low. or maybe it's getting some KR on the top end from the rockers.

i'd say take it.
