my 93z has a slight hesitation when you take off. does fine after that? has new gm optispark/msd cap and rotor,ngk plugs about 1,000 miles on them msd wires about 3,000 miles on them.I know I havent cleaned the trottle body in a long time(about 3 years,car is only driven about 1500 miles a year).also have never checked coil wire.has 1le elbow about 5,000 miles old.any suggestions?

 

Make sure none of your plug wires are touching the headers, other then that change out your coil to an MSD not expensive and might as well go all the way.

 

dont have headers,stock manifolds, no cat, hooker muffler, ss tips.was thinking about changing coil and coil wire though anyhow.

 

My 93 was kinda sluggish also until I added the MSD6 Ignition box. Right way I noticed a major difference in the trottle response. But yeah I would replace the coil with an MSD and possibly the ignition module itself too. Run some injector cleaner through it and you should be good. Just a ?, is your air filter nice and clean?

 

air filter nice and clean it is lingenfelter cai.i I am going to try the fuel injector clean first and go from there. I know those ognition boxes really help throttle response.
