Help, window motor stuck down, rain coming!

My passenger side window motor is toast, i doubt ill be able to get a replacement today, and the remnants of tropical storm barry are on the way up. I can put it in my garage, but i need to take the car to work tomorrow and its supposed to rain all day. Is there any way i can manaully put the window up just until I can get a new motor?

Help!!!

When my window motors went if i let them sit for a while I could get it creep back a little at a time slowly, that might work for you if you havne't already tried to

As for manually making the window go back up I'm sure if you took the interior door panel off you could manually movie it back up but i'm not sure how well that would work or if the window would stay in place, worth a try though

I had that problem for a while.

Pull the window up all the way, measure and cut a block of wood to support the window up. Extremely ghetto but it's what I did till I was able to get a motor for it and get it fixed. Works like a charm.

Once your car is in the garage, remove the interior panel as though you were going to replace the window motor. Now, what you will want to do is remove the window motor that is currently installed; this will allow you to manually lift the window such that it is fully up. Once you have it up and held in place (C-clips work well, but don't tighten too much), reinstall the window motor so that it can hold your window in place.
