HELP! Water pouring in passenger side

I was driving in the rain the other day, and whenever I would stop at a light and then start accelerating, water would litteraly pour in right above the speaker on the passenger side, then stop after a few seconds of driving. Weather stripping appears to be in good shape, any ideas?

Re: HELP! Water pouring in passenger side

I had the same problem, water would pour in when I'd stop, go, get on it hard, or pretty much anything that would cause the slightest body flex. Also, if the car was left outside while it was raining I would magically have ponds in my rear floor boards. A dealer recommended a very simple and cheap solution to this and I've been trying to pass on in. Go get some KY jelly from your local Wal-Mart or other store, remove your tops, apply the crap to both t-top and body weather stripping and reinstall tops. It worked great for me and a few others around the neighborhood. No more problems.

You might try di-electric silicone grease instead (plug boot grease). It's what's recommended to re-moisturize your weatherstrip. I think KY is water soluble and would probably wash away.
But what a conversation piece the KY would be in the console.
