help with vin#

all i have is this vin# 2G1FP22P3R2167551 and i need to know what rear gers it has any help please

You need the RPO code sticker. The VIN is not going to tell you unless you get a dealer to list the RPO codes for that VIN.

That is a 94 6 speed Camaro with 3.42 gears. (standard from factory)

And how is it you know that is a 6 speed from the VIN? The VIN carries no such info, AFAIK. (unless you had someone look it up and that would be cheating )

I looked up the calibration number for the tune on that VIN... and since I deal with these things everyday, I know them by heart... what number corresponds to year, tranny type, speed limiter, gear ratio, etc.

Just making sure. Bottom line is, you can't determine the tranny by breaking down the VIN. Now I know there is another method for finding info.
