Help removing bolts to panhard bar and lcas

I really need some air tools. Ive had these soaking with PB Blaster all morning and they still wont budge. Does anyone have any ideas or hints to removing these, or do I just have to pay someone with an air wrench to install them this week.

You can Get a long pipe and put that over the tool you are using for more torque. You can also "shock" the bolt with hitting it with a hammer, that may loosen things up. Just make sure you dont hit any threads with the hammer.

These things also work well with frozen fasteners.

For the price of a torch, you could probably get a small air compressor and your own impact gun.

A factor when using a torch that should be taken into consideration is to much heat can take the temper out and soften the studs causing them to become brittle a brake when you don't want it to. If you use heat keep it on the nut only ,however the hammer tapping and penatrating oil with a longer wrench (cheater bar)should do you much better. Leave the torch work to someone qualified.

I had the same problem with those bolts not budging. Laying on your back will not give a good leverage on the bolt. I used a lift instead and got the bolts off in no time. Do like slayer6x6 say with the long pipe to get that leverage.

Re: Help removing bolts to panhard bar and lcas

my ntus and bolts were horribly rusted on, i got 3 of the lca bolts off, and 1 of the panhard bolts, the other two i took ym dremel and cut the nut off. hard to do b/c of the angle, but well worth the hour it took em to do them b/c there was no way they were coming off. anyways, got em off and now everythings fine :P
