Help with pricing a 10 sec 83 Camaro.

Hello . I need some help with pricing a 10.88 second 83 Camaro for sale . NHRA spec legal . 409 cid 400 sbc. th400 converter cage glass hood cowl scoop simson belts 9 inch ford rear diff. 3.73,s spool.fibre glass rear hatch.stripped interior centrelines .M/T drag tires. Frt runners Black colour paint. Msd ignition set up Distributor , module , delay box .Drag springs /struts and shocks.Adjustable torque bar/arm . Adj rear suspension.
Car ran 10.88 N/A. have slips .250 hp NOS with stand alone fuel system has been tried on previous engine , but not with this set up yet. Ran at TMP Ontario, Canada.
Can supply more info on engine after talking to builder . Howard Race Engines . What do you think it is worth . Yeah , I know its hard to sell a race car . you only get so much return on the dollar. If I put it up for sale what would be a decent starting/asking price . And what would be a decent acceptable price ??.
This car will be up for sale shortly . Any advice will be greatly appreciated . This car has been to strip many times . All the bugs are worked out of it . Track times are repeatable ..thanks ..MVDRVNMOFO.

Re: Help with pricing a 10 sec 83 Camaro.

i had a very clean and sharp 79 Malibu, street/srtip car. viper red paint full cage, 406, dart heads, th400 with t/brake moser rear end. I had over $12,000 in the engine alone. was set up for nitrous. ran 10.50's on motor. i only made a couple of nitrous passes with 175 shot and went 9.70 @ 141 mph. this car was very nice and I tried selling it for $13,500 for about 6 months. had alot of people interested, but no buyers. I eventually traded it for a 96 firebird with a vortech supercharger. and started all over again. **** luck

BMoney Thats kinda how I think this one is gonna go . Hard sale .. It belongs to a good friend of mine who was killed in a car accident a few weeks back.I,m gonna help his wife sell it off. I was thinking of starting a 15 g,s and probably end up around 10 g,s . Another guy said try starting at 20 g,s and try for 15. Obviously I gotta try to get asmuch as possible for her . But in the long run we,ll end up taking whatever we can get for it . Shame kinda .
I,m thinking 20 might scare people off. I wont be able to post pics till she calms down a bit . She wont let anyone into the shop just yet.. MVDRVNMOFO.

i think 15-20k is way over priced, just my opinion. go to racingjunk.com and check out some of the cars for sale there. that will give an idea of what people are asking for cars like that.
