Help! Powersteering leaks bad.

My 99 Trans Am started to make that wierd noise when I turned the steering wheel so I checked the fluid and it was very very low When I was cleaning the engine bay no more than 4 days ago I checked the fluids and I know this fluid was okay. Well now my engine bay is splatered with fluid everywhere. Its somewhere around the pump but I can't find the leak. Its dripping off my alternater too. When the fluid gets hot thats when it leaks. When I parked to check it out, there was a slow drip. Where should I look and what do I look in to replacing?

Sounds like you need a new power steering pump. You could clean up the mess drive it for 20 mins. then look to see where the leak is coming from.

I will clean the area good with solvent tomorrow and test for leaks then. I think it might be a hose.
