Traction Control Removal???

Traction Control Removal???
I recently posted a similar thread and didn't find any answers. Has anyone had any luck removing the traction control?? I was told someone named TRAX or something performed this on his car and it worked. I guess he replaced his throttle cable and cruise control cable and used a module from a non ASR car. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Re: Traction Control Removal???
What you mentioned would work but the traction control light would remain on indicating a fault. Easiest fix would be to install the SLP control box that keeps the system off until you turn it on. It makes the system operate oposite of stock.

Re: Traction Control Removal???
I think in order to do it, you need to replace the throttle and cruise cables with non traction pieces. You also need a new BCM I believe, and you'll have to remove the little "box" on top of your driver side valve cover, and probably brake lines as well.

Re: Traction Control Removal???
HEy, I really appreciate all the ideas. Yes, I am planning on removing the entire ASR system from my car. I never liked it and it takes up alot of room. I guess I will call my parts guys and see what I can score some cables for and then go on ebay of the module. Then I get to have some FUN with the brake lines, JOY! Thanks again, I appreciate the insight.
