My wipers on 98 Z28 were parking almost straight up when shut off. After that the wipers would park OK when off but when using the Delay function they would park straight up between delay strokes. I tried 2 rebuilt motors .What postion do you set up the dial(the crank arm assemblt) the piece that is mounted to the motor and connects to the wiper linkage. 12 or 3 or 6 or 9 O'clock.
This is crazy 2 days trying to fix this.

 

I did the same thing. It turned out I had hooked it up incorrectly. What I did was try a different way and then run it with the wipers off and it was easy to see when it was right.

 

What was hooked up incorrectly?

 

It was last winter. I think it was backwards or facing wrong when I put it on.
