HELP! need to get under the hood....

ok heres the situation, my g/f has a set of keys an a key fab to the car, i only have the ignition key and a key fab to my car, we only have 1 door key., and my battery just took a **** on me...so i cant get in the car... does anyone know how i can pop the hood from outside the vehicle, like pulling the cable from underneath, i gotta go to work in an hour and im stuck here, i dont really wanna call AAA, so any help/ advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Its a 1997 T/A

Either slim jim the door, or use a long rigid object to try and slide the lock tab forward by slipping it in between the window and top.

if you have a jump pack or another car with jumper cables you can crawl under the car and apply power to the large red wire on the starter and ground to the engine block and it will work

Ease the window out and use a rod to pull the door handle. Either driver or passenger side. Coat hanger works well.

hitting the door lock switch would be easier but be carefull not to break the glass

Even if the battery wasnt dead, and he didnt have the remote, getting to the lock button wouldnt do much good since power is cut to the switch a few minutes after you turn the ignition off and shut the door.....


X2 on finding a battery a jack and some jumper cables to the starter lug.


ok just seen you had to be at work in an hour, and you posted 3 hours ago...... hope you got it figured out or got a ride.
