Lightbulb Where can I buy a steel custom lt1 hood? (pics of my problem) ---

I currently have a fiberglass hood. Due to the extreme curve at the front of the fender near the headlights ... the hood sticks up 1/4-1/2" no matter WHAT I do to it (on both sides).

I dont want another fiberglass hood, and I dont want a stock hood.... but wouldnt mind a Carbon Fiber hood ( if its stronger than the fiberglass hoods for holding the shape ). I am NOT worried about weight savings.

If you know of a shop that sells what I am looking for , please link me. I guess I could always just TRY to pin it AND use the latch , but that would be a last choice * and may cause damage *, thanks

You can see its smooth on the fender ridge, but not even CLOSE near the headlights. Its a solid hood, wish it just had more rigidity ---

the problem isnt the glass that is not holding the shape, its prolly the mold that the company uses to create the hood. (you ever seen a corvette that had messed up body panels) no, beacause GM had the molds and they were all perfect and stayed that way. go with a VFN hood. they are all fiberglass however they have GREAT mold and excellent fit on all vehicles from what ive heard. check out www.vfnfiberglass.com

I had a Harwood on my truck, and it fit great everywhere ... BUT bowed a bit in the center on the sides.

I am sick of getting the "your hood isnt closed" comment. I dont know what brand, it was on the car when I got it. Pics soon ---
