Help me beat the electrical gremlins
Help me beat the electrical gremlins
My 93 Formula has been sitting for a couple months waiting for new opti. Got opti installed and now the gremlins are alive and well.
Wiper motor buzz's and moves very very slow. Thought the motor was bad so I replaced it and it still does it.
Drivers side front turn signal and parking light stay on when the car is running only. It wont come on until the motor is running and wont go out unless the key is turned off.
Fans wont come on at all.
Headlights wont pop up and when they are down I can hear the motors clicking. Had to unplug the motors to keep them from clicking.
Have checked all fuses.
Please help before I give it a REAL flame job.
Thanks, Dave

Re: Help me beat the electrical gremlins
The battery is a new fully charged Die Hard. The car starts and runs great. The pass side signals and lights work normal. I traced the engine bay harness to the firewall and all looks good and not chewed on. I have the bottom of the dash apart and all looks good there also. Is it possible the problem with the wipers and turn signal are messing up in the signal switch since the wipers are there too? If that is the case it still doesnt address the fans and headlight motors. Will clean all the ground points and see what happens.
Re: Help me beat the electrical gremlins
For the wiper motor, try wetting the window and see if they speed up. Sometimes the blades will grab a dry window an slow them down. If they run normal with a wet window replace the blades.
