HELP: Check Gauges Light, Oil Pressure?
Well, I am finally driving my Camaro (1995 V6 3.4L) around again, just got it officially out of the shop yesterday (I did get to drive it briefly in between a series of scheduled repairs over this past week, but tonight was the night that it was to finally go home). However, as I was driving around tonight, feeling good, my "Check Gauges" light came on for the longest time. I took a look at my gauges, my temperature was fine, gas was fine, battery was fine, but Oil Pressure "looked" a little low.
My question is: When driving around where should my oil pressure gauge be? I *THOUGHT* it was supposed to be about the half way mark. However, when I was driving around it was about the 1/4 mark.
Let me know what you guys think

Ok, I drove around today and it stayed around the 1/2 mark untill just a few minutes ago. After driving for sometime I happened to stop at another red light, this time the oil pressure dropped STRAIGHT TO ZERO and of course my Check Gauges light came on. Then after that when I am driving around my oil pressure stayed at about the 1/4 mark but at every red light after that it went STRAIGHT BACK TO ZERO while I idled. This car recently blew a headgasket and I JUST GOT IT OUT OF THE SHOP day before yesterday, so could the blown headgasket be related to this? What do you guys think is the problem? or the cause of the problem?
Car drives/sounds fine. I dropped it off at my Mechanic, they were closed but my Mechanic happened to be there. He said he can't look at it till Tuesday (closed for Labor Day) but that more than likely it is just like you said, a sensor. So we shall see.... luckily I have a Mitsubishi 3000GT SL to drive as my back-up car for when the Camaro breaks down (I love my camaro but I have to admit, it has problems.... A LOT)
