Helmet????

My dad got a 2002 Z28 and we went to the track yesterday. Well he broke into the high 13's and they said he needed a helmet for anything under 14.00. Anyone know where he can get one for a good price?? Thanx.

Usally any motorcycle or snowmobile helmet will work, just make sure it is bell and snell approved. Try denniskirk.com, its a motorcycle parts site, otherwise i think thunderracing and other vendors have them.

It doesn't really matter if you only go to the track once a year or a 100 times a year....DON'T skimp on your helmet!!! It only takes one time to get seriously hurt...Check out Summit, Jegs, etc...and look for a name brand, quality helmet...Simpson, Bell, etc...you can get an open face Simpson for around $225...PROTECT YOUR MELON!!!

You can spend as much or as little on a helmet as you want. I would steer clear of the generic "DOT Aproved" helments and got with a Snell 2000 or better rating.

I picked up a Snell 2000 helmet at a local speed shop for $115.
