Heater Problem
It just started gettin cold here in North Carolina and I went to turn on my heat and all I got was cold air. My A/C works but I just cannot get any warm or hot air at all. Please let me know if you have and ideas.

Re: Heater Problem
You need to back flush your heater core. It gets clogged up and doesn't allow the hot coolant to pass through it. Just disconnect both hoses going into it and stick a garden hose on the outlet side. Slowly turn on the water and watch all the crap come out. Good luck
Re: Heater Problem
Yeah it has been getting cold here in NC. I had to do the same thing of flushing our my heater core a year ago after going 2 years without heat. Flushing out the heater core was easier than I thought and now I have plenty of nice heat. Plenty of info on this site if you do a search.
Re: Heater Problem
This should be a fall season sticky. This same question will be asked many times.
(this and the "why won't my defogger won't stay on")
If you don't have heat, flush the heater core. It's usually that simple.
