heater core
ok im looking at getting a new heater core for my 95z.. here lately if i've been recently running heat in my car and then turn it off and crank it back up shortly afterwards the windshield will fog up. so the only suspect could be the heater core to my knowledge. but the main reason im here is asking you guys are the heater cores from summit racing just as good as an ac delco one? because there is a 70-80$ difference in price.
I dont drive it much in the winter nor do i use heat too often but it is nice to have so i dont want to get rid of heat but i also dont wanna spend close to 200$ on a heater core when i dont use it enough

Re: heater core
Your window fogs up because moist air is being blown onto your windshield. When you turn on the defroster the A/C kicks on to dry the air being blown across the heater core. Verify the operation of your A/C (if it has not been deleted).
If the heat is warm when the selector **** is NOT in the defrost position then there is nothing wrong with your heater core.

I've flushed my heater core 3 months ago and swapped dexcool out for antifreeze. My heat doesn't blow hot by any means. Its more like Luke warm and mu AC blows ice cold. There's no leaks in the system that I can see under the hood but from time to time I used to smell dexcool in my car but no wet carpet yet.
Can I pressure test my car when cold to see if there's any leaks in the heater core?
