Heater Blower Motor / fan thingy

Hey, my blower motor is making noise, I think it's on its last leg.

Has anyone replaced theirs before? Where is it on our cars (2001 Camaro), how easy is it to replace, and is there an upgraded unit somewhere.. that blows stronger, quieter, etc.

Thanks

What kind of noise is it making? I've had leaves in the blower box before. It's inside the car, passenger side under dash - disconnect the motor wiring connector, remove 3 bolts and the motor/fan cage pulls right out as a unit.

I also had leaves and debris in my blower fan. The higher speed I put the fan on the more noise it would make. Like the previous poster, I pulled the blower motor/fan assembly out from under the pass side dash and cleared it out. I also used vaccum to suck out any other stuff that had got into the duct system.

Now the blower fan works fine.
