heat

so in addition to all my other recent issues, the heater has not been working, and it is starting to get to me... all the fans etc work, but it only blows cold air, which is kind of a b1tch in the winter time...

is there anything electrical, like a module, that would be responsible for this, or is it just the good old heater core needing to be replaced?

heater core is a very common problem. They get clogged up with gunk and can be flushed out with a garden hose hooked up to the hoses.

This belongs on "General F-Body Tech....", not in engine tech. There are NUMEROUS threads covering this exact subject on the "General...." forum. Sometimes, its best to do a "search" before you post.

If it anything like my experience - it won't last. Depending on how bad it is - you may only get a few weeks before it starts to get cool again. I did mine 3 or 4 times over a couple of years.

Where does the gunk come from? Common or not, there shouldn't be gunk in the coolant.
