The left light burnt out or the sub fried?

The light and the headlight motor are independent of each other.

Is your battery good? Sub might have drained the battery.

When you turn the lights back on does the light go all the way back up and then still goes only half way down when you turn the lights off?

since it will raise the light up kind of elimatents the fact that the motor is fully broken but it may be just wearing out ( I know there is a frequent problem with the plasitc gear inside the headlight motor but usually you can hear it grining)... have you tried lowering the headlight manually as it may just be that something is stuck down in there that is prventing the thing going down fully
