headgasket/ radiator?

Well, last wednesday, i was driving down the highway, heard a pop and my car started smoking. Pulled over to the side of the road, looked under the hood, and my transmission dipstick was shot OUT of the filler tube. Just assumed my tranny blew, and Im getting my new one today. Now, the same day, i noticed my radiator was low. thougth nothing of it and filled it back up (my radiator is mainly water, not actually coolant, gotta drain that and fill it up with dexcool this time around). Now, i noticed yesterday when we started the car, there was a decent sized puddle of water under my turndowns which makes me wonder if i have a headgasket out too. I know it would be a lot easier to tell if it was the headgasket if it was actual coolant in there, but there is no water/coolant in my oil, and my radiator is not bubbling, should I be concerned about a headgasket or do you guys think it is just condensation?

well considering that you said that you said there is no water being pushed out of your radiator I think your head gasket is fine. That pop you heard was probably the cap on your overflow tank, mabe you had too much water in there and it blew the cap off and got on your exhaust. happened to me once. I would fill it up agian and run it for awhile and make sure its not going to over heat and make sure your water level stays put.

yeah, i ran it for a couple minutes yesterday, it didnt seem to get hot, and the water level stayed the same. Its going up to a shop to get some work done, and i was just wondering for peace of mind to drive it up there.
the "pop" i heard i 99% sure was the 2-4 band breaking in my transmission lol
