Has anyone had problems receaving pistons from Wiseco?
The place building my motor says that they still have not receaved my pistons. I was told that it would take about 6 weeks to build the motor. But it has been over 10 weeks and the shop says that they still don't have the pistons. Is it common for custom wiseco pistons to take that long?
Thanks

Custom pistons, maybe, but I had some problems with getting my pistons as well from them. Even charged my builders card like 6 times and then when the box got there it was damaged so much that pistons were falling out. UPS even rejected the package, lol. They made it right by overnighting the next set of pistons and of course they credited him back, but it was still abig hassle.
I have been a J/E and Wiseco customer since the Dover deal for almost 12 years. I left them due to quality problems and not being able to get my stuff on time.
The last set of pistons I ordered where shelved units + bore. the new engineer did not know how to do the bore increase and keep the ring radials in spec...I gave them 6 weeks....and that was the last straw. I told them I was moving on and it did not bother them at all (between all of the builders I sell heads too we are talking 4-500 sets of pistons a year)! I have since moved on and can not be happier!
