Oh, and I drive mine in the winter also when there's not feet of snow on the ground and heat is not a problem at all, so that theory is wrong. What's easier than sitting in the seat, unlatching the latches and hitting the button to put the top down? Surely not t-tops.
Well said. Trunk room is actually better with a vert. My wife and I went cross country in ours last year. With the top down, all our camping supplies in the trunk and 2 huge suit cases in the back seat. We had ample room.

Now, make that a t-top car, put the t-tops back in the trunk and suddenly there is no room for the camping supplies.

The heat and A/c work just fine with the top up...It's not an issue.

Road noise is actually minimal. The top is fully lined and has a glass rear window with defrost.

Puting the top down is simple, and you can actually do it while driving slowly. Just put the windows down, unlatch it and hit the button. Try doing that with t-tops.

The only draw back to the vert is the large blind spots when the top is up. Obviously there are no blind spots with the top down. LOL.

Did I mention that chicks really dig convertibles? The more sophisticated women might even overlook the fact you are diving a mullet-mobile Camaro to get a ride in it.

T tops are the only way to go in my opinion...

Oh, that's mature.

I have a wife, 3 kids and I am quite busy with life. Did you not see the smiley face in my post indicating I was joking around? Why do you feel so quick to personally insult someone you simply disagree with. Grow up or go home if you cant handle simple disagreement without resorting to personal attack.

some peoples kids.

And, BTW, if you put the t-tops in the back seat without anything securing them down they are likely to get scratched, or scratch the back seat. They are not designed to fit in the back seat safely. The rear hatch area was designed specifically to hold them. Also, my back seat was already filled with 2 large suitcases, so there would not had been any room for tham anyways.

The fact is that a convertable has more storage area than a t-top car with the tops in the trunk.

Funny. Did you ever see the one where the put the rotting pig in a Corvette for a few weeks to see if it would be possible to clean up the mess and smell and sell it afterwards?

They ended up junking the car. What a mess.

Verts all the way!
Convertables are always worth more money as collectables.
I added 2" blindspot side mirrors to my doors and have no visibility problems with the top up.
Don't even have to look over my shoulder.
There's nothing like hitting 100 mph with the top down.

I'd say it depends on where you live and the weather you have. even if it doesn't get nut retracting cold, if you have a lot of rain like the in the Pacific NW you may not want a vert. although for looks if its a Firebird the verts look better and for Camaros a t-top or hard top look better to me. I like the t-tops on mine and it takes maybe a minute or two to unlatch the tops and put them in the trunk area, plus the tops don't have a tendancy to rip if a low branch snags on it like it did my buddy's T/A vert a year ago.

Re: Hard top or Convertible

I personally am a 'Vert man all the way. I am afterall less worried about having a drag car then just a really nice weekend driver that will smoke most other cars that wanna try and run. Plus with that dark colored interior, you can feel like your in a fricking little cave when your inside a hardtop. My coworkers have a couple hardtops, one even has a B4C the exact same color as mine inside, and it feels completely different to ride in when its nice outside than my convertible. Always easier to alleviate any feelings of claustraphobia by taking the whole top off.
