Hard to sell a car (transam) with True Duals?
I just installed true duals on my Trans Am. Not out the back, just dumped and was wondering how hard its going to be to sell like this. I personally wouldnt buy a car like that, and wonder how many people actually would? I am trying to see if i should go ahead and buy a y pipe and used catback to stick on there to make selling it much easier. Very few people out there are looking for moddified cars in my opinion. What do you all think?
Re: Hard to sell a car (transam) with True Duals?
I suppose it would take someone a bit special that knows what they are after........but I wouldn't count it out.
If I found a car that was modified when I was looking for mine - I would have bought it.

Im going to try to sell the car pretty quick. I'm sure if i was to wait long enough, some one would eventually come along looking for a modded car, but i dont want to wait that long
Re: Hard to sell a car (transam) with True Duals?
When I was looking for my f-body, I was hoping it had some bolt-ons already done, which it did. Mainly though, I wanted a completely sound body and interior which I got. As said above, it just takes the right person, but if you are that anxious to sell, you might not get the dollar amount that you desire. Also, just a y-pipe and used catback will probably still run you several hundred dollars.
Re: Hard to sell a car (transam) with True Duals?
It shoudlnt matter at all. Most people are buying these cars with mods anyway, and exhaust happens to be an easy part to change. I would say try to sell it with the duals and see what happens. It can't hurt, and might as well before you spend more $$$ on a catback and Y pipe.
Re: Hard to sell a car (transam) with True Duals?
Well i stopped by the exhaust shop today, and they are just going to run it the rest of the way out the back, under the axle, and put tips on it. The car sounds awesome, and i shouldnt have any problem selling it like that. The main thing i was worried about was how loud it is, and with a trans am, having empty holes in the rear bumper, for the exhaust tips.
