Hard plastic dash pad

I need to remove the hard plastic dash pad "the part that rests against the windshield"
I do not have T-tops so how do I get the A pillars off.

Re: Hard plastic dash pad

You just pull them off, they are press fit. Pull at a downward/inward angle, there are no screws holding them.

Be very careful when removing that big plastic piece. Its very fragile.
I have another one sitting on top of my car now because I found out just how fragile they are.

The big plastic dash piece just "pops" off, without taking anything else off. I had to pop it off to get at the light sensor when I killed my automatic headlights.

Maybe they changed it for you LS1 guys, but on the 93 to 96 cars that piece is interlocked under the a pillars.
